17.C.2b Describe the relationships among location of resources, population distribution and economic activities (e.g., transportation, trade, communications). Review the information provided on geography of Ukraine. Pay close attention to the water masses and population distribution. Write a paragraph describing the relationship between the population distribution and the location of water masses. Locate the capitol on the map and describe the area in which it is located and why you believe it is located in this region. Take into consideration the location of water sources, other big cities, and countries. Make sure that your reasoning is solid, do not forget our previous units on locations of natural resources in relation to people's homes.

26.A.2b Drama: Describe various ways the body, mind and voice are used with acting, scripting and staging processes to create or perform drama/theatre. Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky was a composer of Ukrainian descent. He created many wonderful compositions including the 1812 Overture, Swan Lake and the Nutcracker. Watch the clip from a performance of the Nutcracker Suite, via the youtube video below, and describe how the dance relates to the music and positions of the dancers. Would you perform to Tchaikovsky's composition in this manner? How else do you think the music could have been interpreted into dance?
